No gaps
Have you got a designated wash out area? An old rubble heap or a skip is ideal.
Wash out area
Have you got a designated wash out area? An old rubble heap or a skip is ideal.
Cleansing
Is the floor clean from any insulation dust, mud etc? This could rise to the top of the screed and prevent a smooth surface finish.
Slip membrane
Do you have a slip membrane tightly fitted on top of your insulation?
Soil stacks
Have you installed a perimeter expansion strip around all internal and external walls and soil stacks? (25mm insulation upstands do not act as expansion strip)
Taped up
Have you used duct tape to tape all polythene joints and perimeter strip? Do not use aluminium/foil tape as this will react with the screed.
Plenty of clips
Are your Underfloor Heating pipes secured?
Pressure
Is your manifold filled and pressure tested?
Know your floor level
Do you know your datum point? – Co-Dunkall Ltd suggest a minimum of 50mm average depth with UFH (thin section screeds are available)
Know your screed
Ensure only plaster based products are used for Anhydrite screeds and only cement based products are used for cementitious screeds.
Avoid frozen pipes
We recommend using anti-freeze at point of installation of your underfloor heating to avoid frozen pipes, which is also a service we offer.
Preparation is key
Make sure you prepare your surface correctly. Remove any laitance before final finishes are installed by sanding your screed correctly.
What screed do I need?
Unsure which type of screed is suitable for your project? This handy table below will help! Alternatively, contact our team to run through the options

What is Cemfloor?
Cemfloor is a quick-drying, cement based liquid screed and is one of our most popular products. Following on from its list of advantages above, it’s also a product we batch and supply ourselves via our transmix lorry which offers you improved productivity and reliability.
This product is suitable for use with cement-based adhesives, meaning there is no need to purchase extra specialist adhesives as you may have to with anhydrite screeds.
What is Anhydrite Screed?
Anhydrite screed is a pump applied, self-compacting floor levelling solution that can be laid at a much thinner depth than traditional screed methods. Its liquid properties allow for faster install times allowing for increased productivity on site. There are a wide variety of anhydrite screeds to choose from, including high strength and high thermal efficiency.

I did screed with them twice, we had our house done in 2 phases and in the 1st phase they supplied us with specific stats, on the 2nd phase they supplied us with different stats model and a control box which allows to connect to them remotely but, then I had an issue with the phase 1 stats won't connect to the system as they don't support that functionality. I rang their customer support and explained the issue, they offered to swap the phase 1 stats with new ones so, all stats will be from the same model and all will connect to the control box. One more word about their expertise, the 2 phases were done a part so the 1st phase screed was higher than the existing old bit, when they came to do the old bit on the 2nd phase, I asked if they can do the screed so that both bits will be same height, they did it perfectly, both phases met up level and the wood floor on top is at the same height, I must say I was sceptic but, these guys are awesome, they are experts in what they do. that made me so happy! That is a company who cares about their business and about their customers. I will definitely recommend and will definitely do business with them again. Thanks you Co-Dunkell![]()

We had our screed pumped in and laid by the team at Co-Dunkall today at our self-build, the three man team onsite and those in the office were all professional and friendly at all stages from quotation, survey and the final delivery and instation. Everyone has done what they said they would do and within the timescale given. If you need pumped floor screed I can recomend this company 100%![]()

We had Co-dunkall provide a cemfloor screed for an outbuilding which needed the floor raising. Thoroughly professional service 3 survey calls and inspections prior to the job. Nikki and the office team all highly knowledgable on so many aspects and on the day they even provided a 6 wheel mini mix to accommodate the property complexities. Good follow up and so pleased for a very clean and tidy washout considering how messy the job can be. You would not know they had been on site. End result is exactly what we needed![]()
