600m² Screed Prep in Cambridgeshire: Ready for Cemfloor!

We’ve hit a major milestone on our latest project in Cambridgeshire! After a busy day on site, we’re thrilled to announce that the preparation work for our Cemfloor screed is complete. That’s a whopping 600m² of floor area meticulously prepped and ready for the pour tomorrow.

This stage of the project is crucial for ensuring a high-quality, long-lasting screed. Our team has been hard at work installing the slip membrane and perimeter edge strip. This involves carefully laying the slip membrane, which acts as a barrier between the concrete subfloor and the screed, allowing for movement and preventing cracking. The perimeter edge strip is equally important, creating a clean edge and helping to isolate the screed from the walls, again preventing potential issues down the line.

But it’s not just about laying the materials. Precision is key. We’ve spent considerable time setting the levels across the entire 600m² area. Accurate levels are absolutely vital for a smooth, even screed finish. Any inconsistencies at this stage can lead to problems later on, so we take the time to get it right.

Tomorrow, the Cemfloor screed will be poured, transforming this prepared area into a smooth, level surface ready for the next stage of construction. We’re confident that the meticulous preparation work we’ve carried out will ensure a fantastic final result.

We’ll be sharing updates on the screed pour tomorrow, so stay tuned! In the meantime, check out the photos below for a glimpse of the preparation work.
